Belief, knowledge and opinion

We have confused belief and knowledge, mashed it up and made them appear the same. Nothing is further from the truth, belief requires no facts, whereas knowledge does. In a similar vein we have made opinions all the same, that of an expert in a topic is equal to that of any person. Somehow rights got involved as righteous justification, and one has the right to their opinion, and certainly, one does, but it is not equal to, it is no where near equal to, that of the expert in the field. Somehow there is a perception, or belief, that the less knowledgable have equal weight in their opinions as the experts. I’m sorry, this has never in human history been the case, nor is it now. I want to know from the experts who have specific knowledge in the subject of my concern. I don’t want some uninformed person’s opinion, nor do I wish their belief. So, let’s be clear, if you do not know anything about the subject it is best to sit quietly, listen and learn from the expert before you offer your thoughts. Let us respect those people who have devoted their lives to become experts in their chosen fields and listen earnestly to what they have learned, passionately deliberated over, proven and subsequently know. And let us also respectfully tell the uninformed, unknowing and the believer to sit down and listen to the facts.
