Liberal, conservative, left or right its all old crap thinking while crudely attempting to deal with issues created by the old ways of thinking. The industrial revolution is over, globalization is now truly global, isolationism is a thing of the past, communication is instant, travel nearly so, and capitalism is an anachronistic economy that no longer truly serves its purpose, or, more accurately, the rich have gotten richer and the poor poorer just as the capitalistic notion intended in the first place and once that ultimately and inevitably concludes there is nowhere else to go with it except mass war where those without take from those with. Arguing about two OLD ways of doing things is useless, how about coming up with something new? There is no need for rich or poor, healthy or sick, starving or obese, haves and have nots in this world any more. There is plenty to go around of everything for everyone, no one need go without anything anywhere on our speck of dust floating through space. Exceptionalism by politics/economics, religion/superstition, nation/culture, wealth or history is the core problem. If we don’t change our way of thinking then Mother Nature will interceed, we will destroy ourselves one way or another, and the ants and roaches will one day inherit the world.
